A Story Of Inspiration And Survival
A Bible verse states, "What we learn in the darkness, we are to share in the light". My piece titled "FAITH LIFT" was based on those words.
Like a gazillion others out there dealing with cancer, I'm one of them. Being an artist, of course I HAD to draw what I went through.
What stood out for me during this bleak time were the medical bills, the pills, the time standing still, the mirrors I avoided, the Komen accessories, etc.
The fossil-like marks from vines on the stone wall represents a legacy.
I want to leave a lasting "impression" behind, so others will remember I was here and hopefully made a difference in their lives.
The Bible my Mom gave me is there, revealing the roots of my Christian faith.
I not only had the loving support of family, friends (and pets!), but I knew God was with me no matter what , and that gave me tons of comfort. I had faith that He was holding my hand, and He was, and still is!
